Why do I ......... ?

...pay someone to hurt me.  Now it's not what you think, I haven't developed an S&M fetish !

I have just returned from the dental hygienist and have spent 40 minutes in the chair having the ultrasonic water pick treatment on the tartar at the back of my bottom teeth.  Having bled profusely, nearly drowned and been subjected to severe pain, I was then asked for £40 !!!

Why is it that...............

My speedometer in the car is 4 miles per hour faster than the speed indicated on my SatNav ?  If I go at the SatNav speed, is that correct ? 

Why is it that...........

I feel so bloody awful about going back to work after a holiday.  I look awful and I feel bunged up !

I have just been to a training session in Swindon where we have been introduced to a new electronic reporting system.  From what I can see it gives good traceability and accountability to our bosses, gives them times on and off site and is a good reporting tool for review meetings with major accounts.

But, although I agree it has a steep learning curve and at my delicate years that curve may be so steep it is vertical, it seems that even younger and more experienced people who have been using the package for 6 months, say that it takes too long to go through all the menus and pull downs. 

Oh well, we will have to see.  They aren't going to withdraw or change it so I will just have to get on with it.

Holiday's End

Sniff.  The last day at Wells was spent walking up the main street window shopping and buying the odd bit and piece.  Then back to the car for the l-o-n-g drive home.  Mind you, it is nice to sleep in ones own bed !
Oh well, back to work tomorrow..........   joy of joys.
