I don't know about you but I have loads of computer passwords. I have passwords for the Lottery Account, Bank Account, Emails and for websites for the credit cards I have.
Some of them will accept a password that is made up of letters only, some accept an alpha numeric password and for security sake I don't have the same name or names for them all.
I have been advised not to have a list of the passwords anywhere where they could be accessed if the computer fell into unscrupulous hands, nor to save them on paper. But at my age remembering them all is becoming a struggle.
I think I may have come up with the solution. Off site computer backup sites.
With this you can register for about 2 Gigabytes of storage and save a word document in the secure on line storage area with all your passwords on them. All you then have to do is remember the name and password for the site and hey presto, secure access to your password list. If you encode the passwords in some sort of nonsense paragraph that will make them even more secure.
I have registered with www.storegate.comand have free 2 gig storage.
Dunno if this might be useful but I thought I would pass it on.
